Enterprise Security
All our equipment is housed in a secured server pod at the Vocus Data Centre in Alexandria, Sydney. Building access is restricted to approved card access holders and all equipment is housed in locked cabinets. Cloud People only use enterprise class hardware from the most respected vendors in the business. Our primary storage is fibre channel SAS SANs.
Customer Isolation Firewalls
In addition to our perimeter firewalls and the hypervisor’s own security features we also implement a Customer Isolation Module on hypervisors. This anti-spoof/anti-sniff firewall ensures you operate in a completely secure environment and provides each customer has their own VLAN. All customers are provided with full access to configure their own firewall from the client area. This not only secures your environment, but also offloads the work of traffic management from your server.
Automatic Failover
Our cloud platform is designed and configured with the highest levels of redundancy. Every layer of our cloud is duplicated and configured for automatic failover. In the event of a physical server node failure the affected cloud servers will be restarted automatically on another node. We constantly monitor our platform. High-frequency checks means failure of individual components are confirmed faster and resolved quicker. The performance of our platform is also monitored externally from forty locations globally.
Free Backups Included
Every customer is provided access to our server backup technology – for free. Full server snapshot images can be scheduled to occur daily and weekly, or manually run on demand. These snapshots allow customers to completely restore a cloud server to a known good state in a matter of minutes. These backups are stored on physically separated and fully secured secondary storage systems.
